2020 Apiculture New Zealand Conference and Trade Exhibition update on Coronavirus (COVID-19) Postponed

In response to the evolving COVID-19 pandemic and more recent Government guidelines on mass gatherings and travel restrictions, Apiculture New Zealand has decided to postpone its annual National Conference and Trade Exhibition planned for June 2020 in Rotorua.

Given the ongoing uncertainty around the pandemic, we thought it best to make a decision early so that those affected can plan accordingly. We apologise for any inconvenience or disappointment this causes.

We were looking forward to hosting another great Conference this year, however, the health and safety of our delegates, exhibitors, guest speakers, including our international speakers and staff is our primary concern.

Given we are uncertain how the COVID-19 virus will unfold, combined with the limited window of opportunity to hold Conference prior to the new honey season, postponing the conference to later this year is not a viable option.

Conference 2022 will take place in Christchurch.
